This agreement forms part of the terms of service and applies when you upload content containing other people's personal data: a meeting, an interview, a class.
Who is who
When you upload a recording with other people's voices, you are the controller and AUDIO TRANSCRIPTOR APP, S.L. is the processor. You decide what gets uploaded and what for; we process it on your instructions, which are the ones you give by using the service.

What we process for you
Subject matter: turning the audio and video you upload into text, and if you ask, separating speakers, translating and summarising.
Duration: while your account is active, and after that whatever the deletion periods say.
Types of data: the voices and whatever is said in the recording, which may include names, opinions and anything the participants mention. We don't ask for special categories of data and we recommend you don't upload them; if you do, that's on you.
Data subjects: whoever appears in your recordings.
What we commit to
- Process the data only on your instructions, which are the ones you give by using the service. If one struck us as unlawful, we'd tell you.
- Not use your content for anything of ours, and in particular not train models on it.
- Keep it confidential, and require the same of anyone with access.
- Apply security measures: encryption in transit and at rest, server access by key only, short-lived signed addresses for audio, and the fewest people with access.
- Help you if someone exercises their rights, or if you need to run an impact assessment.
- Tell you without undue delay if there's a breach affecting your data, with what we know, so you can meet your own deadlines.
- Return or delete the data when we're done, your choice. By default, delete.
- Give you the information you need to show this is being met.
What's on you
Making sure you may record and upload what you upload: that you have a legal basis, and that you've informed the people who appear. The rules for recording a conversation vary from country to country and we can't check them for you.
Who else is involved
We rely on these sub-processors. Accepting this agreement authorises them; if we add or change one, we'll give reasonable notice and you may object.

All of them are under contract with obligations equivalent to these. Your audio and its transcript only pass through OVH, AssemblyAI and, if you ask for a summary or a re-translation, Anthropic. Stripe, Resend and Cloudflare never see your content.
Outside the European Union
Audio is transcribed on European servers. That's a deliberate choice of entry point, not a coincidence.
Transfers to the USA — summaries, email, payments and the captcha — rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, with whatever supplementary measures apply.
How long things are kept
Audio is deleted automatically after 14 days without a paid plan and after 90 with one. Text is kept for as long as the account exists. You can delete anything sooner from your dashboard, and closing the account deletes everything.
Audits
We'll give you the reasonable information you ask for to show we comply. If you need an on-site audit, give us reasonable notice and we'll arrange it, without disrupting the service for other customers.
If something conflicts
On anything to do with personal data, this agreement prevails over the terms.
