Who we are
Audio Transcriptor is a service of AUDIO TRANSCRIPTOR APP, S.L. (Tax ID B93982734), registered at Calle París, 1, Planta 2, Puerta E, 08191 Rubí (Barcelona), Spain. You can write to us at hola@audio-transcriptor.com.
Using the service means accepting these terms. If you don't agree with one of them, don't use it.
What the service is
We turn audio and video into text with AI. Depending on what you tick, we also separate speakers, translate and summarise.
You can try it without an account: we transcribe the first few seconds so you can see how it comes out. For the whole recording you need an account and, depending on volume, a plan.
Your account
You need to be 14 or over and give accurate details. The password is yours and you're responsible for what happens through it; if you think someone else got in, tell us.
An account belongs to one person. Don't share it or resell it.
What you upload stays yours
The content you upload is yours, and so is the text that comes out of it. We claim no rights over it.
You give us just enough permission to run the service: to store it, process it and hand it back, including passing it through the providers that do the transcription. That permission ends when you delete the content or close your account.
We don't use your content to train models, and neither do our providers.
What you agree not to do
- Upload content you don't hold the rights to, or recordings made without the consent the law requires where they were made.
- Upload unlawful content, or content that infringes anyone's rights.
- Try to break, overload or get into the service, or work around usage limits.
- Resell the service as your own without a written agreement.
Recording conversations has rules, and they vary by country. Making sure you're allowed to record and upload what you upload is on you.
If you break this seriously we may suspend the account. Except in an emergency, we warn you first.
Prices and payment
Prices are on the pricing page, in euros and excluding VAT unless stated. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't see your card number.
Subscriptions renew for the same period until you cancel. You can cancel whenever you like from your dashboard: you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you're not charged again.
If a charge fails we email you and retry. If it keeps failing, the account drops to the free tier without losing anything you've stored.
Minute packs are one-off, don't expire while your account exists, and aren't refundable once used.
We may change prices with 30 days' notice, and never for a period you've already paid.
Refunds
If you're a consumer you have 14 calendar days to withdraw. That said: by starting a transcription you're asking us to begin providing the service, which means that if you use it and then withdraw we'll deduct the proportion you've consumed.
Beyond that, if something went wrong on our side, write to us. We'd rather fix it than argue about it.
How long things are kept
Audio deletes itself automatically — 14 days without a plan, 90 days with one — and cannot be recovered. The text stays for as long as your account exists.
We email you three days before an audio file is deleted. If something matters to you, download it: what you download is yours and doesn't depend on us.
The detail is in the privacy policy.
What we can promise, and what we can't
We do everything we can to keep the service up and transcribing well, but we don't guarantee any particular accuracy or uptime. Quality depends heavily on the recording: noise, microphones and people talking over each other all show.
Check the text before using it for anything that matters. An automatic transcript is not a set of minutes, and not a sworn translation.
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for lost profits or indirect damage, and our total liability is limited to what you've paid us in the previous 12 months. None of this limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor your rights as a consumer.
If we close your account, or you do
You can close it whenever you like from your dashboard. Download what you want to keep first: closing it deletes everything.
We may close yours if you break these terms or if we stop providing the service. In that case we'll give reasonable notice and refund the unused portion of anything you've paid.
Changes
We may change these terms. If the change is significant, we give 30 days' notice by email or when you sign in. Carrying on using the service after that is accepting them.
Law and courts
Spanish law applies. If you're a consumer, you can go to the courts where you live and to the European online dispute resolution platform. If you're contracting as a business, the courts of Barcelona.
